One Call. Every Home Service. Vancouver Trusts Us.
Founded in 2010 in a single Vancouver garage, BC Home Service has grown into Metro Vancouver & the Fraser Valley's most-trusted home service team. 25+ licensed tradespeople. 12,500+ jobs completed. One number to call for plumbing, heating, cooling, windows & doors — all backed by upfront pricing and a real 24/7 emergency line.
From a Single Truck to Vancouver's Most-Trusted Home Service Team
In the spring of 2010, Dave Chen — a Red Seal Master Plumber — bought one second-hand van, printed 500 flyers, and started knocking on doors in East Vancouver. His pitch was simple: show up on time, price the work in writing before you start, and clean up like it's your own home. Within 18 months he was booked three weeks out.
In 2013, Mike Anderson joined as Lead HVAC Technician after a decade installing furnaces for one of the big national chains. Together, Dave and Mike built BC Home Service on a radical idea for the trades: one phone number, every home service, same standard of work. No more juggling four contractors for a renovation. No more wondering who to call when the furnace dies at 2am and the basement toilet is overflowing.
Fifteen years later, we're 25+ licensed tradespeople covering 17 cities across Metro Vancouver and the Fraser Valley. We've completed more than 12,500 jobs — from a $180 faucet swap to a $90,000 full-mechanical retrofit. The promise hasn't changed: same-day service, upfront flat-rate pricing, and a real human on the phone 24/7. When you call 604-615-2212, you talk to us — not a call center.
Work With UsFifteen Years. Built On Trust.
Real counts from real jobs. We track every service call — and stand behind every one of them.
Four Values. Zero Compromise.
These aren't slogans on a wall — they're the rules every technician, dispatcher, and office staff member follows on every job.
Honesty
Upfront flat-rate pricing in writing before any work begins. No surprise charges, no upsells, no "we found more problems" pressure tactics. If it doesn't need fixing, we tell you.
Quality
Red Seal licensed tradespeople on every job. Top-tier materials — Uponor PEX-A, Trane furnaces, Marvin windows. A 1-year workmanship warranty on all repairs, no questions asked.
Speed
Same-day service in our 4 core cities. Average 45-minute emergency response across Metro Vancouver. Real-time technician tracking so you know exactly when we'll arrive.
Community
BC-grown, BC-staffed, BC-paid. We sponsor two local minor-hockey teams, donate pro-bono work to the Covenant House Vancouver, and pay above-union wages so our tradespeople can live here too.
The People Behind The Work
You'll meet these faces in your home. No subcontractors, no temp workers, no rotating crews — just our licensed, background-checked team.
Red Seal plumber, BC gas fitter license, 22 years on the tools. Started BC Home Service in 2010 with one van and a promise: show up on time, price it in writing, clean up. Still takes emergency calls himself on Christmas Day.
TQ-licensed refrigeration mechanic & gas fitter, 17 years installing and servicing furnaces, heat pumps and AC across Metro Vancouver. Trane-certified, Daikin-certified, Mitsubishi-certified. Joined the team in 2013 and runs every major HVAC install.
The voice on the other end of 604-615-2212. Sarah runs scheduling, dispatch, and customer follow-up. Knows every regular customer by name. Promises a 15-minute callback window during business hours — and holds the team to it.
Red Seal carpenter, Marvin & Andersen certified installer, 12 years replacing windows and entry doors across the Lower Mainland. Knows which frame works for a 1920s Kitsilano reno vs. a 2005 Surrey townhouse — and won't let you buy the wrong one.

Guides From Our Team
The guides homeowners tell us they actually use — written by the people who do the work.
Our Service Area — 17 Cities, One Team
From the Vancouver peninsula to the Fraser Valley, the same licensed tradespeople, the same written warranty and the same flat-rate quoting — everywhere we roll.
We serve 17 cities across Metro Vancouver and the Fraser Valley. Dispatch runs from our East Vancouver service yard, so the closer you are to the core, the faster a truck reaches you — but every city on this list gets the same standard: a real dispatcher on the phone, a written flat-rate quote before work starts, and photo documentation of every job. Emergencies are answered 24/7/365 at 604-615-2212.
Coverage means more than a list of city names. It means the technician who serviced your furnace in October is the same one who can diagnose the AC in July, because our crews are dispatched by geography — not by whoever is free. It means the parts on the truck are chosen for the housing stock of the region: poly-B fittings for the 70s-80s builds, cast-iron stack gear for the heritage homes, condensate and radon-aware kit for the newer slope builds. And it means one invoice, one warranty chain and one phone number, whether your house is in Dunbar or on a Brookswood acreage.
| Emergency response window | Cities | What it means on the phone |
|---|---|---|
| 30 – 45 minutes | Vancouver, Burnaby, Richmond, New Westminster, North Vancouver, Port Coquitlam | Core coverage — a truck is usually minutes away |
| 45 – 60 minutes | Surrey, Coquitlam, Langley, Delta | Same-visit diagnosis, most jobs fixed same day |
| 50 – 70 minutes | Maple Ridge | Honest window — we quote it upfront, no optimism |
| 60 – 80 minutes | Abbotsford | Farthest point we serve — still 24/7, still flat-rate |
West Vancouver, Pitt Meadows, White Rock, Port Moody and Mission are served daily on scheduled bookings. For the full map, per-city service pages and local pricing, see our complete service area guide.
The Team Behind the Work
Anyone can put a magnet on a van. Here is what we carry on paper — and what 12,000+ jobs since 2010 have taught us.
Every technician we send is Red Seal certified — the interprovincial standard that takes years of supervised hours and a national exam to earn. The company operates under BC licence BC-PL-2019-4421, carries $2 million in liability insurance, and is fully covered by WorkSafeBC, so you are never exposed if something goes wrong on your property. Certificates are available for inspection on request — most strata and insurance companies ask, and we hand them over without hesitation.
The track record behind those credentials: more than 12,000 jobs since 2010 and a 4.9-star rating from verified reviews. That number is the reason most of our work now comes from repeat customers and referrals — the cheapest marketing there is, and the hardest to earn.
Behind the licence numbers are 25+ licensed tradespeople — plumbers, gas fitters, refrigeration mechanics, carpenters and window installers — all direct employees. No subcontractors, no temp crews, no anonymous sub-trades you have never heard of by the time something needs warranty work. When we quote a project that crosses trades, like a basement suite or a full mechanical retrofit, one project lead coordinates all of it so you are never relaying messages between companies.
Why Homeowners Stay With Us
One-off jobs are fine. What we actually build is decade-long relationships — and these four policies are why.
2-Year Written Workmanship Warranty
Every job — from a $180 faucet repair to a $12,000 repipe — carries a 2-year written workmanship warranty. In writing, before we start.
$89-$129 Diagnostic, Credited
Full on-site diagnosis plus a flat-rate quote. The fee is credited to any approved repair — you only pay it if you decide not to proceed.
Flat $150 After-Hours Premium
Night, weekend or holiday emergencies carry one flat $150 premium — posted upfront before we dispatch. Never an hourly overtime rate, ever.
Maintenance Plan — $199/yr
Two tune-ups a year, priority dispatch and discounts on repairs — the plan that keeps furnaces, AC and hot water tanks out of the emergency queue.
These four policies work together more than they look like they would. The credited diagnostic means you can have a real technician look at a problem without gambling on the visit fee. The flat after-hours premium means a 2am burst pipe is priced the same as a Sunday morning one — no meter running while you are standing in a wet basement. The written warranty means the technician who does the work has skin in the game two years later. And the maintenance plan catches the small stuff — a weak igniter, a slow leak, a clogged condensate line — before it becomes the emergency that tests the other three policies.

The short version: flat-rate quotes approved in writing before work starts, a 2-year written workmanship warranty on everything we touch, and a real human at 604-615-2212 — 24/7, 365 days a year. For bigger projects — furnaces, heat pumps, boilers, repipes, full window packages — financing starts at 7.99% with approved credit, and we complete the CleanBC, BC Hydro, FortisBC and municipal rebate paperwork that can put up to $16,000 back on an eligible heat pump upgrade.
