How Our Review System Actually Works

Reviews only build trust if the process behind them is honest. Here is ours, end to end — the same process for one star as for five.

1

You submit — we ask almost nothing

A first name or initials, a city, a service category, a rating and your words. We ask for an email address solely to confirm the submission came from a real person; it is never published, sold, or added to a mailing list.

2

A human checks for spam — nothing else

Moderation exists to filter bot submissions and content the law won't host. It does not exist to filter criticism: a fair one-star review of a real job goes live exactly as written. We respond publicly to concerns instead of deleting them — that is what the owner response field below each review is for.

3

You can edit or remove it — forever

Your review belongs to you. One email removes or edits it at any time, no questions asked, even years later. Reviews we cannot verify are never published; unpublished submissions are deleted within 90 days, not archived for "later use."

Why we also point to Google: reviews on a business's own site can be curated — you have no way to verify we didn't hide the bad ones, which is exactly why the hardest questions in our FAQ section link to our unfiltered Google review profile, where deletion is not something we control. Read both. Trust the pattern, not the highlight reel.

Straight talk

Why Reviews Matter — To You and To Us

Handing a stranger the key to your furnace room — or your bathroom, or your kid's bedroom window — is an act of trust, and marketing can't buy it back once it's spent. That's what reviews are for: not a scoreboard for us, but a shortcut for you. When a homeowner in Surrey writes that we fixed their furnace on the coldest night of the year, or a family in Coquitlam writes that the technician explained the price before touching a wrench, the next homeowner gets information no advertisement can honestly provide. We keep the reviews that mention waiting for an appointment, too. You should see the whole picture, not the highlight reel.

Search engineers call this E-E-A-T — Experience, Expertise, Authoritativeness, and Trust — and it can only be earned, never claimed. The experience part is documented by customers who paid real invoices, not by us. Every review that comes in is read by our dispatch team and shared with the technicians who did the work: praise tells us what to protect, and criticism tells us what to fix by morning. The four-star review that said "great work, waited two days for a slot" changed how we book weekends. That feedback loop is how a shop that started in 2010 stays honest in 2026.

Here is exactly how moderation works, because "moderated" can mean many things — and most of them are bad. Every review submitted on this page goes into a queue, and a real person on our team reads it: is this a genuine customer, is it spam, is it abuse. We never edit the wording, never adjust the star rating, and never quietly delete a review because it stings. If a review describes a problem, we publish it, respond to it in public, and try to fix the underlying issue first. From submission to appearing on this page usually takes under one business day.

Step 1

You submit

Sixty seconds, no account. Name, city if you like, your stars, and the honest story of how the job went.

Step 2

A human reads it

A real team member checks it's a genuine experience — not spam, not abuse. We don't edit words or ratings.

Step 3

It goes live

Published within about a business day, word-for-word, stars exactly as you set them — good, great, and could-be-better alike.

Had an issue? Call us first — 604-615-2212.

We fix problems faster than reviews can. If something isn't right — a noise after the install, a bill that surprised you, a missed window — we want the phone call, not the one-star surprise. Our 24/7 line reaches a real dispatcher, a licensed technician follows up, and most issues are solved in a single visit. A review can only describe a problem; a call gets it fixed.

Pattern, Not Highlight Reel

What Reviewers Actually Mention

We read every review that comes in — this is what real customers across Metro Vancouver keep saying, the praise and the friction alike.

"Same-day" and "on the coldest night"

most-mentioned theme

The phrase that recurs most across reviews is speed under bad conditions — furnaces restored on December nights, drains cleared before weekend guests arrive, water heaters swapped between breakfast and dinner. Homeowners who call at 9 PM and have heat by 11 PM tend to write about it, and we're proud that they do: emergency response is the hardest promise in this trade to keep honestly, and the reviews say we keep it.

"Explained the price before starting"

second most-mentioned

Flat-rate quotes read as a marketing claim until a technician kneels in your crawl space, shows you the photo of the cracked heat exchanger, and prices the fix before touching a wrench. Reviewers mention this more than any brand of equipment — which tells you what actually builds trust in a home-service visit. It's not the logo on the furnace; it's knowing the number before the work starts and seeing the same number on the invoice.

"Waited a day for a non-urgent slot"

most common criticism

The honest friction: in peak season, non-emergency bookings sometimes wait a day — and when a furnace dies during the first November cold snap, everyone's emergency becomes the queue's emergency. We publish this pattern because the one-star and four-star reviews that mention waiting are real, and because reading them before you call sets a fairer expectation than a promise we can't always keep. Emergencies always jump the queue; booked maintenance slots can slide. If your job is time-sensitive, say so when booking and we'll tell you honestly whether it fits.

The pattern in one paragraph: reviewers reward speed in emergencies, transparency in pricing, and technicians who treat homes like their own — and they flag wait times for non-urgent work, and the rare callback for a warranty adjustment. That mix is exactly what a fifteen-year-old home-services company's review profile should look like. If it were all five stars with no friction mentioned, you should wonder what was deleted — and we'd rather you wondered about someone else.
