In the spring of 2010, Dave Chen — a Red Seal Master Plumber — bought one second-hand van, printed 500 flyers, and started knocking on doors in East Vancouver. His pitch was simple: show up on time, price the work in writing before you start, and clean up like it's your own home. Within 18 months he was booked three weeks out.
In 2013, Mike Anderson joined as Lead HVAC Technician after a decade installing furnaces for one of the big national chains. Together, Dave and Mike built BC Home Service on a radical idea for the trades: one phone number, every home service, same standard of work. No more juggling four contractors for a renovation. No more wondering who to call when the furnace dies at 2am and the basement toilet is overflowing.
Fifteen years later, we're 25+ licensed tradespeople covering 17 cities across Metro Vancouver and the Fraser Valley.
